He always films the shows with one or two cameras but for a professinal release you'd have about 10 cameras.

You can tell when a show is being filmed for a release and as far as I know, this didn't happen at the O2.

Nonsense. They shot the Purple Rain concert sequences with four cameras. And to hear Albert Magnoli tell it, they didn't do a lot of retakes, either.

My other half produces concert DVDs - He's doing one next week for a singer at a little jazz venue and using 6 cameras. His colleague has shot some at the O2 and used 15.

I may be wrong and Prince may release a DVD (I'd be ecstatic if he does), but I'm not in the habit of writing 'Nonsense' if I have no idea what I'm talking about.

Yes, but you don't need 10 cameras if what is being filmed on 4 or 6 or whatever is doing the job. There were certainly more than during the Sky footage, there's no way what they showed on could have come from 4 cameras. We all saw the stuff on Sky and on his website so it's entirely possible that one can come out. I doubt one ever will, but not for the camera reason.

Is the book going to be mainly a photo essay documenting the 21 nights at the O2 arena? Or will it have interviews, commentary, etc? Since the author is Prince, I'm assuming he's at least writing a foreword to the book. It would be great if the band contributes to the book as well.

Now all I have to do is hope that the dollar goes up in value so that I won't break the bank by buying the book. confused

Only 4 camera angles are not enough for a good DVD. Go and watch the Sky-broadcast again. you will see that is is not good enough. not enough dynamics and also al lot of time Prince, hidden behind band-members. If there are not enough angles to choose from, this is what you get. It's OK for a live broadcast, but not enough for a 1.5 - 2 hours DVD

Maybe it's the paperback version!!? confused

Well, whatever, Amazon state that if you've pre-ordered and the price goes down you'll get it at the lower price - seems to me that if it's still listed at £30, maybe it's just not been updated yet - hopefully!

Pre-ordering is the same as most online retailers. You have pre-ordered so the money will not be taken until the good are despatched or ready to be dispatched. If the price of the item changes that will be reflected.

Being an avid gamer I pre-order quite a lot of goods, be they consoles from Asia or games from Jersey. RRP is often subject to change although if the price increases the original pre-order cost is usually honoured. Amazon are no exception.

Leuk he boekje kopen van Prince lol
