That's quite a surprise. I like the image they're using, too (which is an abstract painting Prince has on his wall, I believe):

Also, this is cool:

The Picasso-style graphics is one of the best official Prince graphics I have ever seen!!!! Cool to finally see it in decent quality. Talk about a new project?

Exactly. He should use it for his next album artwork. Reminds me a bit of The Rainbow Children CD artwork.

It might be too early to know this but what time does his show start? I want to watch online but I just remembered I was invited to a few places that day.

I already have tickets! HOWEVER, Prince would be wise to change up the current set-list and lose the pimp suits, the horns, Larry G., etc -- I LOVE the man but I doubt any of the recent Prince material will interest the Coachella set.

Oh puhlease!!!!

Prince is Prince... if they don't know that, they better just sit that night out. He is far too set in his ways to change for anyone.

U go Prince! Rock ur funky ass off! Pimp Suit and all!

Just some friendly advise y'all... Thinking that a crowd that HAS ALREADY PURCHASED tickets to see Aphex Twin, Kraftwerk, Love & Rockets, and Portishead might enjoy a more rocking Prince set.

I've been to Coachella couple times and the Saturday headliner usually plays anywhere between 9:45 and 11:30...

Well the Super Bowl did prove that he can adapt to the environment that he's in so I'm hopeful that he'll channel the energy at the place into his show when it's time to come on.

Why I won't go...

1)Price of Tickets
2)It's in the Desert
3)I hate music Festivals
4)The rest of the line up sucks
5)He only playing for 45 min TOPS
6)I can guess the songs he's gonna play.

Not worth it IMO.

I think he's gonna let out all stops and do a loud kick ass show...that's what headlining at Coachella is all about...especially on Saturday when the festival is at its peak (and most croweded) and the crowd is fired up....One year the Beastie Boys played that slot and the crowd acually made the ground shake..I remember almost falling down when I was just standing there watching....

If Prince knows whats good for him...this will be THE show do put it all out there and prove what he has. Guitar solos are a must! They will echo out there in the desert....

I didn't see Larry at any of those 21 Night shows....No problem with the horns...And I'm not even going to get into the pimp suit comment...lol....All I want is for dude to bring it like he did at those 21 Night shows...And throw in a few obscure joint for the old heads...

(Edit...I don't think you guys should worry about Prince doing a string of classic Sly & The Family Stone joints just because he did it at his house party..lol...It's not that serious guys...LOL)

They usually have a schedule online as to what time the artists will be playing. I'll be happy with whatever songs he chooses to play, since only he can make that choice. I also believe they rebroadcast the acts of artists played earlier during the day/evening, for viewers online that missed the earlier performances. I believe I watched one of the Coachella festivals online in 2006(?), can't remember which year. I'm also interested in seeing some other artists perform on there.

swap Raspberry Beret with Take Me With U and youve got 30% of an o2 show! lol

Its surprising and a shame that he doesent do Raspberry Beret proply with the band, the closest we got was on the 11th August o2 show, but that was only up untill the 1st chorus

Thankfully, I've seen him 8 more times since then but somehow, I am still overdue for a P concert. It's been 2 years since I last saw him and I'm hurting BIG TIME (I feel for you guys who've been waiting longer to see him). Prince, bring yo ass to NYC NOW!!!! lol
