I liked 1999 (the song) back in 1982, but did not know who prince was.
When i later bought Purple Rain, for some reason I had the feeling that Prince was also the one who sung 1999.....

So, 25 years and counting wink

Since "Soft and Wet" came out, although I didn't really get into Prince until "1999".

29 years, since 1978. I fell in love with Prince's music when I was 12 years old. I loved the song Soft & Wet, although I thought it was a woman at first. But once I found out it was Prince, and after seeing him for the first time in the Right On! magazine, I have been hooked ever since.

Hmmm...I guess 1983/84. When Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' album came out. I had asked for 'Thriller' for my birthday, and my mom got me 'Purple Rain' instead. I don't know what the heck she was thinking. I was soooo pissed! Then I listened to it...over, and over, and over, and over, and over...I've been hooked ever since.

Since I played SOTT tape in my first "stereo cassette deck" (I hadn't a turntable at that time, not to mention CDs...)

Girls&Boys was the first song I liked a lot, but SOTT made me think to music in a different way. So I should say since SOTT...
