I would have to say Planet Earth. This is the first album from Prince that I've only listened to just a few times...I CAN NOT get into this album. I've been listening to the little purple guy since 81 and this is so far the biggest let down yet....plain and simple....this album sucks!!!

Dirty Mind. I know I'll get some flack for that, but I'm just not feeling it. The album has a really sparse and insubstantial feel. Not near as funky as Controversy.

In front of non-Prince fans who question my loyalty, I will defend any Prince song ever made. However, I did not care for: The Rainbow Children, Graffiti Bridge (the album or movie), or Chaos and Disorder.

I gotta say Rainbow Children also. It's kinda like been on nightshift and being awoken by 2 JW trying to put their religion down ya throat. There are a couple on there that aint too bad but for me this is the hardest one to get into for me.... Sorry P..=)

The only album of his that I loved every single second of from the moment I first heard it is Purple Rain! Over 20 years later I still love every single second of that album - always will.

All the others have a least some parts that I either didn't get on a first listen or still don't.

The point is though that I have them all and will never part with any of them - I often find I can dig out a Prince album I had trouble getting into in the past and find it suddenly hits me now.

The ones that still leave me wondering will likely hit me at some point before I die.....

I don't try too hard to enjoy them though - as Prince himself says "it shouldn't be work"!

i tried emancipation so bad.

it was Prince "best music ever" and i finally gave up.

i prefer to have fun with NPS

Come. I love the title track, "Letitgo," "Loose," and "Papa." At first I didn't like it and couldn't understand why so many Prince fans rave about it. But parts of it are cool.

I'm gonna b praying that I will love Emancipation asap when I get it. Cuz I've been wanting it for a long time... cuz I just want 2 get to know him at that time in his life.

For me, personally, I've had to work the hardest with TGE... and at times, I still am working thru it.
I love it to death... but sometimes, it still comes across the wrong way 2 me.

3121, I loved at first, but cuz of the modernization of a lot of the songs, I started to really dislike it. And the tracks I've heard live, the album versions pale in comparison (Te Amo Corazon).

The last time I listened 2 it after a long break, I still didn't get into it.

1999 definitely took me a long time 2 like. I just had to twist my head around the right way to see it the way I do now. Now its one of my favorites.

I seem to work hardest with the albums I grow 2 love a whole lot. I'd rather save myself all that work, but at times, its just not possible.

I think 1999 takes the cake, though, cuz with all the work I put into it, it was all worth it.
