I dunno yall.. Im a doubter.. Im in TORONTO and I saw prince at aircanada center.. in 2004 for the musicology tour..

So who's to say this is not a outtake from then...

No tickets..and if you search prince on ticketmaster.ca it says dates scheduled internationally, nothing more..

I hope I'm wrong but I think it's just a fluke

but that stage didn't exist when he played for Musicology

The only thing that seems odd, is that the orientation of the stage seems revered on this image.
It would make more sense to have the band area (the circle), at the far end of the arena; with Prince walking out on the "arrow" area...

Although it makes complete sense to tour with that stage, I think a lot of people would get a pretty bad view. During the Superbowl performance, Prince never went down the left spiral bit - it was just too thin, he always went to the right where it widens out. And if you were seated to the north, your view would be obscured by the band section, and Prince never really faced that direction either.

Also, this stage would no doubt be pretty difficult and expensive to move outside of the landmass of the states and canada, I think if he is touring it won't be going outside of those countries again, sadly...

it almost seems like the nosebleeds would be the best seats for a set-up like this. neutral

This is great news. I was just talking to my girlfriend yesterday, she was telling me the chief resident at her hospital who is also a huge Prince fan said he heard on the radio that Prince was coming to Philly sometime in 2007. I was telling her last i checked the org there wasn't any rumors of a tour. But the next day I check hear it is. Now I am offically excited!!!!!

In one of the news reports about the Super Bowl performance, it said he was doing shows in Vegas and then going out on tour in May. Nobody seemed to catch it or we're just so pre-conditioned after so many false tour rumors over the years. But, I think these seating charts do fit in with that first news announcement. It was in one of the Super Bowl threads. I'm sure someone else remembers seeing it.

You must be from Saskatchewan.

We just learned of the possibilty of a tour soon and you already are talking about what you think is wrong with that.

I bet you could begrudge the sun for shining. wink

Yeah, I want seats in the front row of section 303 - to get the best overall view of the show.

But seats lower down get a closer view of Prince (which I've loved for the facial expressions especially at past shows).

So, in some ways, a lot of seats have a great view to offer. And he was much more balanced at the Musicology shows than I thought he would be, in terms of playing to all sides of the audience.

Ummm, guys. I tried to go to Windsor the other night, (I'm from Detroit) and you NOW need a passport to go to Canada. Isn't Homeland Security great? rolleyes

You might want to start working on that first, since it takes several weeks to get and costs close to $200.00.

Just thought I'd let you know...fam on! cool

Why on earth don't you have a passport? Don't you want to see the world beyond your own borders?

I really don't think this will be the only date... this is just the first leaked information about a TOUR.

Of course! I just didn't have any plans on crossing the ocean anytime soon so until the other night, I had no need for one! All I ever needed to go to Canada was my driver's license. shrug

Ha! and I told my daughter during the superbowl performance that i was willing to be he took that stage and went on tour this summer with it!

There really is no other way to go!

Houston isn't showing anything yet on maps...and..btw...to the person above who commented about why would they have personal maps for the artists....they do...the Houston maps show for the Toyota Center show maps for JT and The Rolling Stones..and will likely do the same for Prince's set up. Each artists has a different setup for their concerts. Ticketmaster provides those maps so you can choose your seats accordingly when purchasing.

I really enjoyed being able to purchase front row tix from npgmc...and I feared when all the bitching of "older members should get first chance" yada yada, that it would go away...I certainly hope it didn't and we will have the chance to once again purchase tix through 3121 like we did in the past. I would love to see one up close and one from the nose bleed.

Oh I hope this pans out and there is a tour this year! That would be so exciting to finally see him perform again. Haven't seen him live since the Tamar shows and it's time. Oh it'll great as usual.

I've gotta believe he'll hook his fans up with first rate tickets as he has done so many times in the past. Wooo hooo

I was thinking the same thing, but it's okay by me! They keep us informed, anyway.

Shame that the club went away. I really liked being able to buy tickets before the public. It was great getting to sit in the second row for both Musicology shows I went to. Guess it's back to the days of logging into Ticketmaster right at sale time.
