The only problem with Prince's no-show is it may affect the Oscar votes and have him not getting it simply because he didn't show for this one.

Don't know how I feel about this.
On one hand, it's obvious Prince was SUPPOSED to be there to the accept the award. They usually know ahead of time who didn't accept the RSVP to the event. So, Justin was probably trying to make the most of an awkward situation by making the joke. On the other hand, plenty of people have accepted awards on behalf of others withouut making jokes about their stature, etc. And people have been making jokes abut Prince's height for forever now. Prince is short; we get it. It's not really funny anymore. "I Was FINE Back in the Day!" | |

The short joke thing says more about Justin than it does about Prince. I think JT was just really nervous and didn't know what to do, just latched on to the first thing he could think of that might "break the ice" and get a laugh outta the crowd.
It just wasn't funny, but I guess it was better than him saying "I accept this award on behalf of The Artist Formerly Confirmed To Be Here Tonight" or somesuch. I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, keep me here. | |

Well the kids love it...my nephew dances all over the house when "Happy Feet" comes on. But when Prince sang it at the 3121 club opening in Vegas..especially the verse ...the song..." and said it repeatedly in a soft, falsetto voice...it sounded real nice...ask the ladies, they'll tell you.. | |
