It's alright.

His guitar playing was breathtaking, but the song itself just doesn't have much of a memorable hook or chorus.

I don't think Prince knows how to write a song that's catchy anymore.

I never saw a new prince´s song receive so much praise in the org, since the begining of this site.

This song is really inspired by Jimi Hendrix, especially the vocal phrasings and guitar licks thrown in between the lyrics in the verses..... I really hope the energy of it is captured well on record, and if so, this could be the 3rd single from 3121 (I don't count Beautiful, Loved & Blessed, since that is a Támar feat. Prince track).... this song could get some airplay, especially in places with radio stations that aren't confined to narrow genres....

I knew something was missing in the song but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. It's the falsetto. This song would have been really hot sung in his sassy falsetto. It just seems kind of bland, generic, and ordinary without it. As far as it pissing off today's mainstream, well, that would be a good thing.

I am SO very glad to see all this love for "Fury" -- but it's making me quite nervous at the same time. If the studio version of "Fury" isn't a VERY close approximation of the live cut, this board is going to look like Carrie's high school gym the morning after the prom.

That was one of the greatest performances I’ve ever seen on SNL; far superior to his Grammy performance that to this day continues to be talked about as if it were the stuff of legend. “Fury” is the stuff of legend, along with “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Clapton, The Rolling Stones and Hendrix -- if he were still alive -- I suspect would all love to have “Fury” in their grand repertoire.

This is the type of song that can make a career, or reshape one. It’s that improbably good.

And if Prince should ever find himself in the presence of a Stones’ audience again, he now has the goods to keep the drunken Hells Angels from violent outbursts; unless you count demanding an encore at knifepoint violent.

Seems everyone is talking about this tune! My jaw was left on the floor after the performance of this song last night and I was checking around to see if others caught it. Sure enough on message boards of all kinds from sports forums to other music forums there were threads popping up about it. Just WOW!
