4 the 1st time two funk soldiers unite to deliver the funk in chicago, Kip Blackshire who toured with prince during the hit & Run tour a fews ago playing keyboards and back ground vocals and also appeared on several tracks and videos with prince, and then theres Julians Ride who holds down the funk in chi-town and who also had the oppertunity to sing on stage with Prince during the hit & run tour and Prince also refered Julian as His nephew, but never the less Julian has His own music with a new double C.D. titled *FREEDOM* full of all the funkiness u can get and more! both of these artist has come along way and finnally decided to spread some new funk apond us, Their 1st show will be in chicago at the Kinetic Playground dec 16th, further news will be posted for this event so stay tuned and the funk comes 4 u!

Maybe you can invite some NFO members to jam with you there!

This concert's gonna be the isht ya'll. If you haven't heard Julian's original music or seen him perform live, you ain't heard or seen nothing yet! He blew the folx away at the Double Door this fall, and it's only just beginning.

Julian's Ride and Kip Blackshire will also be joined by DJ Miss Paris and Weapons of Mass Percussion. Anyone who's attended the First Ave parties knows Miss Paris can throw down the funk!

The Kinetic Playground is located at 1113 W. Lawrence, Chicago, IL, across from the Aragon Ballroom, and next to the Red Line station. Free parking in back.

Watch for info on tickets as this is sure to be a sold out event.

I went up to see Kip at his Cd release party for the Eleventh Hour and the man can put on a show..omg...cant wait to git to chitown..!! Everyone needs to get the Eleventh Hour cd...it is for real some of the best new music I have heard in a LONG time...

it was just confirmed on the npg by kip blackshire publist that he will not be performing at this venue, so if anyone was coming down to see kip i just wanted to give you the heads up .

The Funk Soldiers Unite tour has been rescheduled. Watch for updated dates soon!

Julian's Ride will still be performing at the Kinetic Playground on December 16th with special guests.
