the Cross is rock/pop/metal song period. The "song" is what we distinguish and how songs are categorized

Prince is so good because he cover all categories and well (except Rap)

POP
RB
Phycadelic
Gospel
Rock

all kille dall of it back in the 80s ...thats what made him so astonishing

H eplayed all of these types/forms of music and well

I guess we will have to agree to disagree but it would be like saying Kiss or Erotic City are rock records...when clearly they are not

...you totally didn't see what i said.

your right I don't get your point

i think he has, in some stuff... "Thunder"?

but if he were to do straight Gospel ... i'd still dig it, cuz it'd be funky as hell.
what makes a man want to rule the world?

a double a double arrogance.

Flashpointe

The entire Rainbow Children album is a Christian album. Seriously. There are many word substitutions there in place of Biblical terminology, but it is most definitely a Christian CD.

Still Would Stand All Time is a Christian song.

Of course, I would like to see Prince do some deep rooted Christian stuff like traditional Gospel/Funk, but he doesn't want to completely alienate people who absolutely stay away and close their mind to anything with the word "Christ" in it. But, I hope that people shed this stereotype. If you have listened to my music, you will see that I don't beat people upside the head with a Bible. You can be positive and give good teachings through music without offending or forcing people to believe a certain way.

Peace,
JD

...as an artist i've created works that may have had a particular meaning during their creation~yet the journey can Bring a new perspective 2 them...personally i'm not much 4 modifing the old as much as creating new original works that reflect what i have learned & grown from...N that respect surely Prince would have Beauteous songs 2 share from his growth & new perspective of God's presence n his world: if he's honest about it anyway...
