Scam of the Week: Unfinished Prince

The Vault ... contains 10 songs from the period 1985-1994 of the man who used to be called Prince. The CD shouldn't ever have seen the light, but after the end of the contract Warner still had something to recuperate. This means the following:
[pre:0deadbeef0]
1. The Rest Of My Life: is Prince grand cru
2. It's about that walk: funked-up bigband-blues with sublime horns-arrangments.
3. She Spoke 2 Me: is jazzy sould with damped trumpets. From Spike Lee's Girl 6 and here extended remixed. Read: de Jazz Middelheim-jam that followed after the song has been pasted on.
4. 5 Women: a blues on a bed of strings. Prince in the roul of an unchained B.B. King. Sublime.
5. When the lights go down: seems a study to Thieves in the temple. Curly falsetto and jazzy pianosolo.
6. My little Pill is spoken word & weird effects
7. There is lonely: the start of a balad
8. Old Friends 4 Sale: is an unfinished but pretty balad with dramatic strings
9. Sarah: breaths the Joie-de-Vivre (and horn-arrangments en rhythm) of Sly Stone. Sly!
10. Extraordinary is a falsetto balad. Unfinished

It is obvious that Warner wants to earn money quick and that the little man will be very unhappy about it. We enjoyed it anyway. But we got the CD for free. Feel free to come and borrow it (for a little while).

The CD got 3 stars on a total of 5.
