Candy Dulfer's father comments on Candy touring with Prince {{{Candy Dulfer's father Hans Dulfer is quoted in Dutch magazine "Nieuwe Revu" this week, on the announcement that Candy will tour with Prince in the USA.}}}
He says: "Candy just recorded a CD with Prince. It seems to be some kind of Jazz Rock" On the question "how come Prince likes your daughter so much" Mr. Dulfer answers: "they just seem to hit it off. He cancelled his tour three times already, because Candy wasn't available; he likes her that much. He is always very polite and he pays well. They also have both got absolute hearing and they can remember everything, so they can colleborate very well." On the question "do you get to see Prince these days" he answers: "No, but I speak to him sometimes, when he calls. At the moment, he is very much into religion again. He gave Candy a book about it and asked her to give it to me". On the question "and did you read it?" Mr. Dulfer concludes: "No. I didn't. I principally don't read stuff like that".

"Jazz Rock" can't wait 2 hear that CD.
Good 2 know Prince pays well, I suppose he can with all r membership money. "and did you read it?" Mr. Dulfer concludes: "No. I didn't. I principally don't read stuff like that". If Prince give me a book on religion I would not read it also.

So the father of Prince's tour guest won't become a Witness? Larry Graham will soon see Candy kicked off the tour bus for that offense!

So he cancelled the tour because Candy wasn't available? Hmmm... Yeah I wondered about that one too, especially since Maceo is doing a bunch of dates , does anyone else get the impression that Mr Dulfer runs his mouth quite a bit??? assuming the quotes are true in the first place

Candy never really looks the part on stage. She looks like an office worker.

I never forget the look on prince's face after Hans Dulfer placed his saxophone on his chin and balanced it for a couple of seconds. That was kinda cool..

Isn't this old news? I distinctly remember seeing this on the old site. I'll have to check my notes.

This is disturbing since Candy Dulfer is less than a noteworthy musician by far. In terms of any real jazz merit she's just a few pennies above Kenny G. There's obviously more to her than her musicianship that Prince is partial to. Sure, she can play just as good as any Berklee School of Music hack, she's good looking... and she's a woman… OK. Considering the uncountable amount of fellow musicians that Prince has pissed off for good, I don't think this bodes well for Candy's personality profile in terms of the rest of the human race. She's probably a space alien.

He does. Here in Holland we do not take everything he says seriously. He's a decent musician (no further praise due, sorry) but sometimes loses sight of that...
