Has anyone heard the reasons for the cancelling of the Prince show in Cincinnati? Some here are saying it is due to the boycott in Cincinnati, while apparently his publicist is saying it is due to technical difficulties, and that the show will be postponed. Any body out there heard any differently?

I'd like to beieve it was because there weren't enough of the $125 tickets being sold. I know the $50 tier sold out really quick, leaving the $85 and $125 tiers. I think alot of people that listen to 80s format stations like the idea of seeing Prince, but not at $125 a ticket, and not if he doesn't promise to play Little Red Corvette and Purple Rain.

I can understand that mentality though, I have to say. I went and saw him in Cleveland last year, 18th row on the floor was 65 a seat. I have always been a great fan, but not sure I want to dump 125 bucks a seat. maybe if I were to get a complimentary shirt or something. I just heard an interview by his publicist saying that it had something to do with loading and unloading. not sure what she was referring to though... Here's the e-mail I sent to the club and the response I received about the cancelled Cincinnati show. I was amazed that I got a response in less than 30 minutes to the question.

Here in Cincinnati, we have been given several different reasons for the cancellation. But Thursday night on the local news, the Rev. who is leading the boycott said that he has talked to Prince's people directly, and that no matter what you hear, the reason for the cancellation IS because of the boycott. When I called about refunding my tickets purchased on the internet, I was told that my tickets had already been mailed out, and when I receive them, I am to write VOID on them, photocopy them, and send them back certified mail to ticketmaster.
