More NPGMC Clarifications (...) {{{I got this email for NPGMC.
Basic Points: 1. Those who don't renew but have months left on 2001 memberships will get the CDs that are mailed out before membership expires. (Don't think this was clear before -- at least it wasn't to me.) 2. I don't think we're getting albums. They say "nothing has changed... the downloads are over... now you'll get CDs" I think we'll get the exact same types on stuff we would have downloaded. Just my interp. 3. If there are albums, they will be available to others. "you'll get them before anyone else..." 4. More renewal options available soon.}}} Here's the email: High Everything that u would receive as a 2002 members was on that page when u first when 2 re-login. U chose 2 continue with ur current schedule so that means nothing has changed, u were not charged any additional money or anything. The difference in the club is that the downloads r now over. And we have sent numerous emales about this in the past 2 months. Now u will get new Prince CDs from us directly in the mail. There will b at least 4 in 2002 that u will b4 anyone else. We will add more renew option next week so if u do choose 2 renew at the reduced rate, u can do so at that time. Otherwise, u can stay a member and get the CDs that r sent out b4 ur membership is up (u will not get all of them unless u renew). We hope this answers some more of ur questions. However, I was not told what I would receive since the 2001 club is essentially defunct. Since I paid for 8 months of membership, I need to know exactly how I will be compensated for the rest of my time. That's only legal. Also, if I do not agree with what's offered for my remaining time, do i get to consider renewal again -- and for the $53.38 discount rate I was offered today. I felt forced to make my decision today, because I could not even access downloads without choosing a renewal option. Selection would have been easier and fairer if I had been told upfront what I would get if I extended my membership. I've been a fan for decades and excitedly joined the club in September. I'm kind of disappointed because I feel that I am not being shown consideration for my support and that I might be financially mistreated. I enjoy the music club and hope that is not the case. Thank you for your prompt response. PEACE www.NPGMusicClub.com | |
