The Artist's new canvas



The Artist formerly known as Prince and recently known as fiercely independent is
currently known as Arista Records' newest signing. Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic,
due in early November, brings The Artist back into the industry fold after two years
of releasing music on his Web site. His first studio album for a major label since
1996's Chaos and Disorder, Rave will be issued on The Artist's NPG Records and
licensed to Arista in the USA and Arista/BMG overseas. A limited edition of
alternate mixes may be sold later via The Artist's Web site (www.1800newfunk.com).
