Punky Prince covers!! Every year First Avenue nightclub in downtown has a covers contest. They have 10 or 12 local bands each do a set of cover songs by another group or artist. This years show is this Wednesday January 30. There will be bands playing all night from 8:00 to 1:00 or so in both rooms (the main First Avenue room and the smaller 7th St. Entry which is connected.) Anyway the point of this all is that as well as bands covering U2 and Johnny Cash and who knows who else this year, a great local alternative-punky-rock band Arcwelder will be doing a set of Prince tunes!! The songs they will be doing are:

They are playing in the smaller 7th Street Entry and are scheduled to go on at about 11:20
