Guess What? Another Paisley Jam Report! We decided to go out to the Park because we, like everyone else, thought that a "slammin, jammin, jam session" was going to occur, and it did just that! Life is just too short to not go even if you do lose sleep, cause if I didn't go, I'd just be lying awake dreaming of going.
We arrived at the Park early, around 11:30 p.m., and slowly other cars arrived as well. Eventually I'd guess there were about 50-75 people. It was a pretty lively crowd there considering it was a Monday night or Tuesday morning I should say. The jam started about 1 a.m. and lasted until about 3 a.m. TWO HOURS OF CONCERT OF SMOOTH AND JAZZY MUSIC! We were soooo glad we went. Thank you Prince for a free concert, and to Rhonda, Blackwell, Renato, Mike Scott, and Maceo. To see this tight group perform was amazing. It was the kind of music where you can "feel it in your feet, and your head"! Songs from TRC: Muse to the Pharoah, The Work, Family Name, and 1+1+1, and Everlasting now. Prince had us sing along on the chorus of The Work and Everlasting Now. He also performed "Cool as the Other Side of the Pillow", and it was perfecto! What a beautiful voice! There were a great deal of solos and jammin, and it was TIGHT. You all know the whole group is fantastic, and the new piano player, Renato, IS awesome! Mike Scott and Prince also did a "dueling guitar" riff. The fams loved it, it was cute! Everyone was feelin the music, you would think it was the weekend! (hope I spelled the piano players name right) Prince wore a Randy Moss t-shirt, and looked like what he is, from Minnesota, with a white stocking hat, and white boots! Adorable, and so is he with Mani! (married or NOT) The fams were happy, peaceful, and I think VERY content! Now, if I could just calm down some, maybe I can sleep tonight! Thanks again! | |
