Redbackrock.com TRC Review

redbackrock.com reveiw of TRC:

"For die-hard Prince fans and newcomers this album is a real treat. Still fairly rare in Aus. it's well worth tracking down. The style of the album shows just the range Prince and the musicians he surrounds himself with have.

Slipping effortlessly from very contemporary funky beats through to laid back jazz grooves he manages to get the feel of every era of his work from For You ('98) to date. Not a commercial, mainstream album (partly because of the lack of a big distributor) but a great introduction if you've only ever heard his singles. For fans, a real treat when compared to the rehash compilations Warner Bros are releasing. The packaging is, in what's becoming a bit of a trademark, non-standard - a cardboard affair with the lyrics and some very stylish artwork as an attached booklet.

If you've not been there yet, check out www.npgmusicclub.com - MP3 samples of a variety tracks (some full versions) and each month some new material makes it's way out into the wild ! "
