KMSP-TV, Channel 9, buzz caster Robyne Robinson said she had gotten tips from former Paisley Park staffers about Prince's apparent wedding to a longtime Paisley employee, Manuella, on New Year's Eve in Hawaii. So when she had enough details, she phoned Prince's studio last Friday and gave him a day to respond. His rep called back at 2:30 a.m., inviting Robinson for a Princely chat. Since she was in bed, she declined. "I was looking for a little earlier time," she told I.W. On Monday, she rang again to explain what she planned to report on that night's broadcast. Paisley "called back and said 'Thank you for calling us first,'" she said. "I didn't get any lawsuits the next day. So it's confirmed." (J.B.)
