In the January issue of ICE magazine (CD Collector's magazine), they have reported that Prince is working on a compilation of demos & unreleased tracks entitled "The Work - Volumes 1 through 5". Each volume will consist of 4 CD's and will be able to be purchased separately or as a set (the set will total 20 CD's). Each volume will be divided up by years.....for instance: one volume will consist of music from 1984 through 1988. Another volume will be 1995 through 2001. Can't remember what the other volumes were but you get the picture. This is the first and only place I have seen this information so either take it with a grain of salt OR get really excited by it.....whatever's your style!

[There is a set of bootlegs by the same name, same content apparently, floating around now... I wonder if ICE was referring to the bootlegs, or the boots are leaked legit releases (that seems unlikely, since I doubt ICE would be the first place we'd hear about it.) Anyhow, interesting... hasn't ICE reviewed bootlegs in the past? -Ben]
