Lawsuit mentioned in the Pioneer Press

http://www.PioneerPlanet..../tech3.htm

"Camera-shy Prince settles"

Did the oh-so-shy Artist Formerly Known as Prince settle his lawsuit
against Uptown Magazine -- a Prince fanzine -- to avoid a videotaped
deposition? That's the talk on Internet message boards and Uptown's
attorney says it's probably not off base.

"It's all speculation, but I think it has something to do with it," says
Alex Hahn, the Uptown lawyer.

Prince sued Uptown for using his symbol and sought to stop the
magazine from publishing an Uptown-produced book about The Artist.

Under the settlement, the book will go to press and the magazine can
continue to use the symbol. The magazine agreed, though, to stop
publishing discographies of bootlegged unreleased Prince music.

Hahn says Prince's attorneys shifted to settlement mode shortly after the
judge ordered the videotaped testimony.

While many of the settlement details are confidential, Prince's attorneys
are telling some reporters that the musician "won" the case.

"They could be posturing, and I could be posturing, but the proof is in
the pudding and the magazine's still publishing," says Hahn.
