Funny Carmen Electra story:

In 1991, Tara Leigh Patrick moved to Los Angeles, California, changed her name to Carmen Electra, and met Prince. All of this happened to the young lass in less than a week.
"I'd been there a week when I went to this club called Spice, where I was approached by a woman who said she had this all-girl band that Prince was producing, and I had the look they were after. But what was really funny was that there was a Prince lookalike at the club that night, and I thought she might have been talking about him and it was all a joke. But it wasn't, thank God, because the guy smelled really bad. I just thought, "If Prince smells like this, I don't want to be in his group".
As it turns out, Carmen did meet Prince, decided he didn't smell bad, and got him to produce her album. After appearing in Playboy in May of 1996, Carmen co-hosted MTV's "Loveline", and eventually won the job of taking over from Jenny McCarthy as the co-host on MTV's dating show "Singled Out" in February of 1997.
In April of 1997, Carmen was given a five-year contract to replace Pamela Anderson's character in Baywatch.
