local newspaper "the metro" has a small interview with beverley knight, who when asked if she had any famous fans, mentions that she met prince during rehearsals at a tv show (which im sure was the tube apocalypse in newcastle in 1999, cuz she mentions she met him a couple of days earlier at another tv show, which musta been top of the pops) and prince shouted "hi beverley" to her. she said she had a copy of her cd 4 him along with a note she wrote 4 him. prince told her he already had her cd, but took the copy anyway. beverley exclaimed that prince owns 2 copies of her cd
