{{{I was just watching SNL with some Prince look-a-like (sort of) and Maya Rudolph as Beyonce doing a talk show. Prince was the talk show host with Beyonce as his sidekick. The skit was ok, I guess. They were dressed in the outfits from the Grammy Awards, but they had him acting like the Prince of the Purple Rain era interviewing Pink and George Clinton... }}}

This was just my quick note.. I'm sure someone will elaborate..maybe even hustle up some pictures of the show..

How the had him portrayed was pretty dated, but I thought it was kinda funny none the less. I was waiting to see if they were going to insult him or not, but it was all in fun.

If anyone can find a clip of this, please direct me 2 it.

i thought he had the mannerisms down pretty good... i liked how he made his guest (Pink) take a bath (not because it would be sexy, but because he thought she smelled or something)...

i wish maya would've taken her impression of beyoncé further, but oh well

i hope they make this a regular thing...

That was HIGH-larious. Refferences to Rainbow Children, whispering in a female's ear to be spoken too, referencing Camille, SNL has Prince fans for sure. That was an homage, not a parody. Good to see our boy back in the mainstream--we've bitched about it here for years. IT IS FINALLY HAPPENING!

Ps. I seriously want to fuck the taste out of Mya Rudolph's mouth. SHe is HOT!

I thouight it was funny for all the little things in there that had nothing to do with Prince either, like the other impressions. The thing that really cracked me up was Purple Love Sign against a black background with a dove flying in front of it. It was just so cheap and funny!

It is posted on the alt.binaries.multimedia.prince newsgroup. It is about a 400MB file. I thought it was really funny, although it makes Prince out to be a total freak....almost MJ-style weird. But it wasn't really mean, and I bet he appreciates it on some level if he has watched it.
