I'm in San Diego, Ca. While watching the local morning news (KUSI channel 9) this morning, the anchor woman did a promo of Prince and TRC. While she talked about the upcoming release of TRC, they showed an Emancipation period piece of Prince performing a song and they showed TRC website. The Anchor woman talked about the Music club and displayed the URL for the music club. This was no cheesy promo created by employees of Entertainment Weekly, CNN, etc. then re-aired by the local news. It was like the local news got a promo piece directly from the source and freely/eagerly promoted that piece. And, best of all, there was no condescending comments made about Prince. The piece came across like Prince is NOT out of the limelight; that he's just as relevant as Madonna, N'Sync, etc. and that people should be on the look out for his latest release. Paisley Park is doing THE WORK, y'all. It was a great piece...hope everyone gets to see it.
