For the first time I have seen Prince’s picture on the main (first) page of an Indian newspaper. The HINDUSTAN TIMES which is one of the most widely read English dailies of India had Prince and Beyonce on the first page with the caption, “PRINCE AND THE TOPPER”. Just pure magic.

Meanwhile ‘THE TRIBUNE’ which is also a widely read and respected English daily had a news report on the Awards which said, “..The 46th annual awards show began with Prince performing Purple Rain, marking the 20th year of the groundbreaking song and movie.”

A Hindi newspaper called ‘DAINIK BHASKAR’ also had a small picture of Prince performing on the last page.

i suppose prince is VERY bollywood? they love all that gold and vivid colored fabrics out there. he could be a bollywood star. maybe that's what he should do next.

It's a bit more nuanced i think:
It was Beyoncé up there accompanied by Prince, if i'm not mistaken.

Just don't forget this : if it wasn't for Beyoncé being there, maybe our little man would be lost into oblivion more and more. Let's hope he get's some 'word' back, after years of public silence, for he deserves it!

Prince is surely: The Artist who can be blended in with the indian style vibe, people, Prince is Indian.
