Steven Parke (Princes art director...still?) new book is on the shelves. I saw an article in the Oct. 19 issue of Entertainment Weekly on this book (pg 76- top of page) which the reviewer gave an "A". I called around and found it at Golden Apple comics. Very different from Prince stuff (he won't like the language). Parke is credited with digital art, book design and logo design. The book is hardback with photos in place of the drawn art usually seen in comics. Dark and gritty, a contrast to the other work I've seen of his. Also a bio with working references to Prince in the back. An ironic note: the "guest stars" include Kevin Smith, the Barenaked Ladies, John Waters, Janenane Garofalo, Elijah Wood and TOMMY LEE! The kid behing the counter said there is also a feature on Parke in the November (check to be sure) Macaddict about "Sheena E"- I think he meant Sheila E.....does anyone know if Parke is still working for Prince?
