DJ Peter Black: Controversy Remix his Favorite

in the Sept 2001 edition of the electronic music magazine, URB (Bjork is on the cover), DJ Peter Black discusses his 5 favorite "bootleg" remixes. Number 1 on his list is his version of Prince's 'Controversy'...

"One of my favorite remixes, it sounds good and has a great vibe to it. I wanted to add some punchier elements. The original mix by Prince never stays on time so I fixed that and made it more DJ-friendly."

as of now, this remix is only available on a white label 12", but so was his killer version of Eddy Grant's 'Electric Avenue' originally. that track later started an intense bidding war among many a top record label, until Warner Bros.'s East West Records finally released it officially. Warner Bros, huh?
