2nd show at House of Blues There has been a 2nd show added to the House of Blues on Saturday nite.
NPGMC tickets are now on sale and will be soon at the box office at the HOBs. Tickets are $60.00 and show is 1am (or 2am? seems to be some confusion)

There IS nothing cooler than a 2am Prince gig in Vegas! Damn, wish I still lived in LA. I would have the Mack Daddy suite booked and tickets to both shows with a trailer load of ho's.

I went from LA to the Friday night HOB. It was the best. Prince came out in a casual outfit, the band was phfonky. Started off with a funked up version of Xenophobia (alternate horn riff). Then he went into some new jams, Musicology, Hipper than Hip, Letter to the Man, did a cover of Knock On Wood, Sweet Thing, had a new band member on Keyboards and vocal, Red I think was her name - she was great. Rhonda looked so effortless playing that bass it was scary.
One hi-lite for me was him doing The Love We Make for the first encore (I think). The crowd seemed mostly locals and not many NPG Club members, people around me kept asking what the songs he played were named, so they weren't hard-core. But the crowd was great, and showed much love to Prince and the Band. I wish I could be there for the second night, having seen Prince live in the past few years numberous times, last night was WAY up there, by far the best Aftershow type concert I've seen.

Wow! Sounds like a lot of new songs debuted. Wish I could have been there. Not enough notice or a place to stay, or a plane fare, etc. Come on Prince, give us some warning to prepare for the chaos but then I guess that would be complete sense. I was at HOB in L.A. last week at Maceo's show and that was special. Those who got to see him in Vegas must be thankful...

You guys are "forcing" me to go to the HOB show after the Grammies next week. I'll hit the Grammies 1st, party for a bit and head over to the HOB's. -Mg

I was there at the second show. But I don't remember him singing Pop Life. And that's one of my favorites, too. I would've loved to hear D.M.S.R.,Lady Cab Driver, Housequake, Erotic City, and Adore. But the only true funk hit he did that night was Let's Work. Still loved the show, loved the HOB, and I can't mention enough how I loved those hard, crisp guitar riffs he did on "U Got The Look". It was way better than the radio version. I could've done without the jazzy jam sessions that were without him on stage, but I'll never forget that night. BTW, I thought since he's now a Jehovah that he wasn't singing any of his explicit songs anymore.
