Review of EWF/Chaka Concert in CA

[Not really P-related, but as I said, I'm in a generous mood today -Ben]

Last night,I went to see Chaka Khan in concert at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA.I had never seen Chaka in concert before, and I was blown away!! She looked great, and her voice was in fine form. She was reunited with her old band Rufus, so they concentrated solely on their 70s material. This means that Chaka didn't do any of her solo hits like "I Feel For You" or "I'm Every Woman".
The setlist consisted of:
"Once You Get Started", "You Got The Love", "Hollywood","Sweet Thing", "Tell Me Something Good", "Do You Love What You Feel", "Stay","I'm A Woman (I'm A Backbone", "Everlasting Love", and "Ain't Nobody".

At one point, Chaka mentioned that she is currently recording a new album with Rufus. I can't wait for it!! If this show is any indication, Rufus and Chaka Khan are gonna make a killer comeback!!!

Btw, the headliner Earth Wind and Fire were also brilliant. Their show now boasts a great Latin sound with the addition of Danny Reyes on percussion. Their bassist Verdine White is incredible. At one point,he walked into the audience, playing his bass. I instantly thought of Larry Graham...lol...
