This is actually major news to me, since I live in New Orleans...
Prince will be performing in New Orleans, LA on January 26, 2002 at a private Superbowl Party thrown by Maxim. (The Superbowl is in New Orleans this year.) He will be at a place called "Tip's Ruins." It is a private party for about 2500 people--no tickets. Lenny Kravitz is also supposed to perform. I have been assured that this is actually confirmed and not just a rumor. The last time Prince played New Orleans (damned if I can remember what year it was... I saw him twice in Louisiana--once in New Orleans and once in Lafayette... Had to be for Emancipation.) there was an afterparty at "Tip's Ruins" with no performance. It is an extension of the famous New Orleans club "Tipitina's", which is Uptown. "Tip's Ruins" is in the Warehouse District.
So, if anybody has any contacts at Maxim and can get tickets or entry to this thing, send me one! Please!
