"From the side of the Artist, it's a complete victory," said L. Londell McMillan, the former Prince's legal representative.



"It requires Uptown to no longer use (his images, likeness and properties) without his consent. It also sends a message to those who wish to unlawfully bootleg and utilize his name, his symbols and his images for commercial gain without his permission," McMillan told Reuters.

Uptown are only prohibited by the settlement from discussing bootlegs, they are still at liberty to use the symbol to address him (though they won't anymore) and to print pictures about him etc.
