Britney Adopts Prince-Speak

The singer's new single appears to be paying tribute to another fashion-conscious 1980s hitmaker - Prince.

Spears' record company's Web site has revealed the first single off her new album will be "I'm a Slave 4 U." The lettering immediately brings to mind the writing style popularized by Prince on songs like "I Would Die 4 U" and "U Got the Look."

The blonde singer has previously pointed to Madonna as one of her favorite pop icons, with the Material Mom also praising the young star.

The title of her upcoming album has not yet been announced. It's due in stores in November.
