The other night I chilled with my great friend, RONNIE BAKER BROOKS, as he and his band played a concert for people with developmental disabilities in Kent, CT. I met Ronnie and his band at the hotel and we took the ride in the tour van. While driving to the show, we watched "The Undertaker" video with Prince, Michael B, and Sonny T. The band was really digging it!!! Pumped loud, we all vibed on that Paisley hard feel.

The topper to the evening occured when we arrived back at the hotel. Ronnie asked me to stay in the tour van and he played me the entire CD of his upcoming release. Whew, the music is INCREDIBLE. The CD is flavored with blues-rock guitar with lots of funk and r&b too. It is again produced by JELLYBEAN JOHNSON. Jellybean also rips it up on guitar as well on a couple cuts. Get this: Michael Bland, Sonny Thompson and Chance from the Time play on five cuts. Unbelievable funk-blues. Ya'll got to cop this baby when it comes out hopefully soon. Thre rest of the album was recorded in Memphis with top-notch musicians. Ronnie Baker Brooks is the real deal. Great guitarist and vocalist who needs to be recognized.
