Prince comments on "state of radio" in LA radio commercial

An old radio station here in Los Angeles kinda changed their format, from straight "old school" to a mixture of old school and current R&B... and to promote the "new" 92.3, they have all sorts of currently popular R&B artists and acts doin' promo sound bites... and one of the sound bites in between songs to promote the station features Prince talking...

The Announcer says something like "Prince feels the fans should be able to buy the music directly from the artists..", then next thing you hear is Prince talking about the current state of radio, letting the "baker bake the bread, the musician make the music" (or whatever), and stuff like that stuff there... lol (I'm assuming it's a tape from a press conference)... Prince talked for about 2 minutes nonstop, then it went immediately into "I Wanna Be Your Lover" (the full album version, not the edited radio single... long instrumental at the end and all)... too bad they didn't have UMMSS or some other recent music to play instead... would have made his words more relevant (and given him some nice exposure and publicity in an area of the country that often seems to have written him off)..

Anyway, not sure how "relevant" this news item is (or even if it's news...lol)....would it help if I submitted a pic of Mayte and Carmen Electra french kissing??... wink

[maybe it would. LOL! wink - Ed.]
