npg music club response to warner brothers

There's a new "fake" item in NPGMC retail on the NPGMC site... in response to WB's tshirt ad (see earlier news item), it appears...!

PRICELESS - WARN A BROTHER SHIRT:

Really, it’s a true classic. Stylish, well-made, and very useful. It’s the kind of gift that never gets old. Heck, we send one 2 the most recent WB corporate owner every year.

Price: priceless
size: all sizes

Available Never!

Missing what?? lol The MILLIONS of albums that he sold in the 90's??? I'm sure they don't lose any sleep over Prince, unless they lost the 80's catalog, then they'd care.

Personally, I thought WB's jab at Prince was pretty funny. I also am glad to see Prince respond in a graceful manner, by making his own silly little joke himself. Was it all that funny? No, but at least it showed that Prince could take the joke.

Prince did have a greatbody of work in the 1990's that sold fairly well...

So stop saying Prince didnt have any hits in the 90's or any good music at all!

Prince was still very relevant in the 1990's...and I THOUGHT THE (WARN A BROTHA) SHIRT WAS FUNNY!!!

Since WACK ASS WB has no good artist signed on their label since PRINCE...and their suppose to be a major cooporation, not a bunch of jokers cracking on PRINCE!

Time Warners wish they still had PRINCE Signed to a contract, because he'd still be pulling in the millions for them...so I think its funny!!!

When was there an OFFICIAL (not a rumor) promise of Crystal Ball 2 or Roadhouse Garden? Was a date for Chocolate Invasion given? Didnt they make an announcement that the plans for its release were changed? I recall getting an email to that effect.

Why must some so called fans cry ALL the damn time?

They're using his name to poke fun at him after the big stir he caused after WILLINGLY signing a contract. they ain't loosing any sleep over him.

As far as this goes; it's funny/cute, not as funny as WB's joke, but it still brought a smile to my face smile

agreed. im surprised prince responded with a joke and that in itself makes this funny IMO. how does prince making a gentle jab at warner exactly the same way they did to him, end up with his own fans slamming him constantly!

They did sell millions of Prince albums in the 90s.

I doubt they miss him though..too many headaches and he sure isn't selling millions of albums now. But name a bunch of artists who are after 25 years in the business.

From "Love4oneanother" September 30, 1998

"Prince & the Revolution r releasing a new album on NPG,"

Later..

Prince now claims that "the group needn't b 2gether 2 release an album" and that he most likely "can and will finish the album alone unless the tide turns otherwise."

prince feat. Eve - "Hot with U" / The Hot X-perience

prince - Newfunk sampling CD series

Crystal Ball II mentioned at the Celebration 1! I picked the trax for this cool release!

The Very Best of prince!

Last December

I forgot a few but I really don't give a damn!! The WB music club is releasing 3 dvds later!!! bawhawhawhaw

the only thing is WB's Joke is on a site that anyone can access. To see Prince's Joke you have to be a member of the club, I wonder if anyone from WB is a member of the NPGMC...hmmm

True that. Oh, and I could give a damn about all the deleted music. Its a wash, the stuff gains dust these days. Maybe its like what Axl Rose does, as long as he has the 'album that will be relased but will never be released' thing going he can fall back on that when his projects are not working out/when he fails. 'Here's some shitty songs but oman you should hear whats in the vault'. I bet you some music that he thinks sucks we would proly like, its an artist thing. The truth is the guy is old and turned into some religy fruit. Once he wanted to rule and kick ass now he cares not. IMO: "Admit it most of you do not care about instrumental jazz, most of you would kill for some great new songs like them from 84-87 period!!"
