We have received the TURN IT UP 2.0 book shipment from the printing office. However, unpacking the boxes and despatching the first copies of the book, we discovered a mistake: the cover was printed without the disclaimer that says that the book is "in no way endorsed, sponsored, sanctioned, authorized by or affiliated with Paisley Park...." This disclaimer was something we added to the cover of DAYS OF WILD after complaints from Prince's organisation that it wasn't obvious enough that the book was independent, unofficial, and uncensored. We had planned to publish TURN IT UP 2.0 with the disclaimer printed on the cover instead of having to put disclaimer stickers on like we did with DAYS OF WILD.

We immediately contacted the printing office to find out what went wrong. Apparently, something happened in the digital process, with the result being that the disclaimer was put beneath the cover photo, completely invisible. The "test print" had the disclaimer on the cover as planned, so a mistake was made when the actual printing commenced. The printing office has accepted responsibility, but rather than re-printing the entire edition, we decided to solve the problem by printing separate disclaimer stickers and put them on the covers ourselves (as we did with DAYS OF WILD). The disclaimer sticker will look the same as the intended printed one.

A few copies lacking the cover disclaimer were actually mailed out last week before we noticed the missing disclaimer. We immediately stopped the shipping process to decide how to proceed. We have spent the weekend putting disclaimer stickers on the books, so shipping will restart this week. We're sorry about the mishap. But rest assured, the book will be on its way within days.
