Wain McFarlane, lead singer of Ipso Facto and Zydeco Blues has a new CD out called "That Was Then This Is Now".

I bought this CD last night after running into Wain after his
performance with Zydeco at the Isle Vista Casino here in Bayfield, WI.

I wish I would have caught the concert, but my plans to see them didn't work out. So I was quite surprised when I seen him and his band playing some pool and socializing in one of the small bars here in town.

Got to talk to Wain for a bit about the MPLS music scene and a bit about Michael B, Sonny T, Mike Scott and others from the area that he's worked with. Then he told me he had a new CD out and being a fan of Ipso Facto and of the MPLS music scene I had to check it out.

Wain is a really nice down to earth kinda guy and I had a blast getting to meet him. The CD is BRILLIANT and is getting lots of play at my house. But i wanted to give a heads up to everyone at the .org about this CD. Guests on the CD include Michael Bland, Sonny T, Myke Scott (that's how he's credited) and Dave Pirner of Soul Aslyum. Myke Scott plays guitar on 7 tracks.
Dave Pirner co-wrote 3 tracks with Wain and duets on "Blackstar"
Sonny T penned the song "Where Were You When" which has Sonny performing ALL instruments on this track.

This CD is absolutely worth getting and checking out.
