Prince, A Jehovah's Witness? -- Last-Ditch Attempt For Relevance

"Oh, how the mighty have fallen,"abelincolnjr laments. The City Pages reports on the non-event of The Artisit currently known as Prince's 'comeback. Prince has become a Jehovah's Witness and does medleys of his greatest hits to avoid all the un-godly swear words of his checkered past. He want's a family-friendly stage show these days and discusses the 'Proper Role of Women' according to the Scriptures. At one show he even 'admonished a girl for wearing a miniskirt.' I'm not one to poke a lot of fun at someone for their religious beliefs but the guy who wrote 'Darling Nikki'?" Prince has waged a war against the record industry for years, but apparently he blames them for not promoting his material well enough, even when he makes terrible albums. He even contradicts his view, signing to majors that will give him what he wants in terms of money and control. Adds abelincolnjr, "Maybe he should team up with Vanity again."

Maybe he should - but she's born again too, if that's a problem for y'all.
