Prince's House Buyer: Songs in the Toilet I was watching a programme on the Danish television station Zulo about a Danish businessman who lives in Bel Air. His connection to Prince is that he once bought Prince's house in Bel Air. He described Prince's house as totally distasteful because of all the purple colours. (There is a previous post about this). However, he was totally into the layout of the house and this was why he bought it.
He therefore threw all Prince's stuff away except for the purple curtains and the purple sofa under the windows in one of the rooms. He also did not throw away the original handwritings for some of Prince's songs. The programme showed a close up of some of these handwritings but I could not see which songs they were. But I did see a lot of Symbols and the line "may u live to see the dawn" under one of the songs. An auction house wanted to buy the handwritings in order to sell them but the businessman declined because he felt that he could not buy a man's house and then sell of his (Prince's) possessions. Instead he was going to put the handwritings in a frame and have them put up in his guest toilet. I would sure like to take a dump there..... [BTW, it's back on sale apparently (the house) for $3.7M -Ben] | |
