Tor'Juan's Detroit Review The Fonky Baldheads were SWEEEEETTTTT!!!
They Rocked and Funked the Arena- DVS is so f***ing Hilarious, KIP-Brotha Sing That Song!!! These Brotha's Just had a Great Time on Stage Buggin Out and Getting the Crowd READY FOR THE ONE AND ONLY!!! These Baldheads were actually alot better than the First Installment Last year at the Celebration and DVS Keep it Coming The Flow was TIGHT!!! WOW!!! What A Night!!! Words Can't really Describe The Prince Celebration Concert Last Night at The Joe Louis Arena In Detroit... The Show wasn't a Sell-Out? HUH? sure Looked Like the Arena's crowd was to its Maximum. Prince; Man you Out did yourself this Time!!! The Only Complaint and I'm not one bit disappointed thou- Play More New Music!!! Detroit was Feeling that full Length Version of "I Love you but I don't Trust U", Plus, The Man Played... "Sometimes it snows in April", The Usual "Starfish and Coffee", "How Come U don't Call Me Anymore" Never sounded any better, I Loved The Entire Version of "When Doves Cry"...Man you rocked!!! The House Playing Habibi on "Bambi" Sounding So Fresh and Clear as ever; as if we were Listening to The 1979 ALBUM(PRINCE)... Not to forget The Opening of "Let's go crazy", OMG!!! I almost found a Bed on the Concrete Floor, Blood rushing to my Head Instantly when you appeared on the Stage, and everyone to their feet as if they thought it was 1984!!! Prince Played the Hits, everything from "I wanna be your lover" to "Housquake"-which was the phattest beat I'd heard of this 1987 recording..."3Chains O'Gold/And God Created Woman" were on point w/ Milenia singing Backgrd. Never sounded More Beautiful and "Delirious" OMG!!! giving us Little Richard all over again!!! Prince you are nothing but AMAZING!!!! "Adore", "Kiss", "Gett off"- playing that guitar solo was AWESOME!!! the band quit and let Prince Play Habibi on just the chorus portion of the song and it ROCKED!!! Digging the Crowd of Kids that were in attendance...Young Punk Rockers, HipHop Heads and Hot Moms, plus those usual Pimps and Thangs Who Like to hang out at Prince Concerts! Lots of Kids (7- 14) were there also. I'm sure Detroit Made Prince Proud, to see how every generation it seemed were in the Joint to pay him Much Love and Respect!!! Prince Talked about the 80's and How He grew up in Detroit, How Mojo a Famous Dj who played whatever he wanted back in the day! Would Spin all the New Prince Jams including Songs that weren't released as singles.... He also mentioned How Radio wasn't free anymore, thats how we get the same 20 songs played all day- which is true!!! Thou there were many radio stations on hand at the show! from The Top 40 Pop Stations 93.1 DRQ and Q95.5 and The Leaders of the New School in HipHop 105.9 Jamz! All these Stations Supported Prince and Gave away Tickets... I'm wondering how they felt once his Purpleness- gave them the Royal Boot!!! hahahaha Anyways Prince Gave us a Wonderful Show and I am so fortunate to have Experienced in my time a True Artist who has the ability to Create & Perform so much great quality music that fans alike can look back and remember those times when it was fun to party, and to have a common ground w/ others of all different backgrounds and lifestyles and just have a good time and listening to "The Ballad of Dorothy Parker", "When U Were Mind","Purple Rain", "Computer Blue", "Take Me with U", and "Rasberry Beret" - Just to have Memories inside your soul from those particular songs... and to share that w/ the stranger next to you, was incredible... No matter where I go and who I meet, if their into Prince, you know that inside them Lives a Gentle sweet soul!!! Thanks Prince 4 the time of my life!!!!! Your Friend -Tor'Juan | |
