"Elliott recently told Vibe that she and Tim were hurt to hear that Prince had chastised them for whining about beat biters. As if to thank him for the wake-up call, "Dog in Heat", an anticipatory disco chugger complete with old-school guitar vamp, resurrects purple funkadelia, while "Take Away", a ballad with Ginuwine, is a pizzicato-filigreed ringer for Prince's "Do Me Baby".
