Dinner music

After some thought, the sisters of Millennia were down with singing for their supper. The female Boyz-II-Men-type group was dining at Jazzmine's on Saturday when the group's presence was brought to the attention of owner Ken Israel. ''They are here recording with Princeand getting ready for a tour; were recently on Jay Leno; they're on Prince's current video. A very talented group in their own right,'' said Israel. ''So I went over to their table and told them if they wanted to, I'm sure the band would love to have them sing a song. They were a little hesitant, so I made the mistake of telling them there was a time when I would have been happy to sing for my dinner.'' They ''got up and did a killer rendition of Sade's 'Smooth Operator.''' They also threw down an a-cappella number they wrote. ''It was well worth the dinner,'' said Israel.
