Loyal to him??? Are you for real??? Sheila and Prince are like brother and sister, they've all gotten over most of what went on in the past maybe so of you should try getting over it too.

It's well-known that Sheila and Prince are still close. Your point?

My statement is that Morris must be being loyal to Prince's decision to stay away (since he still plays with him now from time to time).Anyway, I'm speculating on Morris's absence. I can speculate. Damn. Stay out of my bizness. This is not testimony under oath.

And as far as whether "they've all gotten over most of what went on" that's not what I've heard. I've seen no signs that Wendy and Lisa have reconciled with Prince enough to sing past Revoultion-era songs on stage with him.

And if you think otherwise, who gives a shit ... especially when you state your opinion by telling me to "get over" mine. This is a free, democratic forum.

I don't think Prince will show up. In my opinion (!) the things said about "control" may be true. It's not only control regarding the music, it's control regarding the situation. It's his music, but it's not his show, his band, his staff.

Of course it would be great and we all want it, but he won't show up. Nevertheless the show will be great.

It's great.Prince and Sheila are very loyal to each other and they love proforming with each other. This show is going to be a very special night in the history of MPLS mucic.Prince went through alot to put MPLS on the map musically and I believe he will continue to keep the music coming.Good luck to all performers, and good luck and have safe trips to all that are going.

I totally think Prince will show up, and I can't wait to see the Family and Madhouse and of course Wendy and Lisa but I've seen them before.

And Everlasting, I would have would have said the same thing to SynthiaRose had someone talked to me like that.

I would love to see Lisa do this song at the Jamm...

A Place In Heaven

She wants a place in heaven
But she cannot face the truth
She lives on a rope of self-pity
It only requires a noose
Why are the ones so afraid 2 live
Much more afraid 2 die?
It's as easy 2 imagine laughing
When U really hear a cry
And they sound the same
In hell, they sound the same

U want a place in heaven
Maybe U're already there
Life's what U make it, stop whining baby
Love comes 2 those who care
There must be children in heaven
Ones who know nothing from hate
3-year-old leaders of all colors
I'd feel safer with them in control, control, control, control
3-year-olds in control

We all want a place in heaven
Suites of that level are few
Let's not be lazy, there's no room service
It's all up 2 me and U
Let's not be lazy, there's no room service
It's all up 2 me and U
Prince may be the purple Yoda, but Wendy & Lisa and Eric Leeds also sit on the Jedi Council.

Dream on. Why do you think the Hawai dates suddenly popped up?

Don't know, but Maceo and Greg are performing with Prince and the NPG in Hawaii on the 16th and the 19th...

...and then I'm going to see them at the Mexicali Blues here in Jersey on the 29th...

...so it is entirely possible for Prince to make an appearance at the Family Jamm...

but then again...

I actually hope Prince DOESN'T show! Don't get me wrong, of course I love Prince, as there would be no Protégés without him. However, how much stage time will Apollonia possibly get if Prince insists on some eight hour fusion jam with Madhouse? This is my one and only chance to ever hear "Sex Shooter" live, dammit!

Speaking of, could someone please get Brenda and Susan to be there with Apples?

And while we're at it, could Denise Matthews please show up and at least sing a hymn or somehthing? Maybe in lingerie?

And could Carmen Electra please get the Erotic City Dancers...er, I mean Pussycat Dolls to vamp around to "Fantasia Erotica" or "Loose" or something off the Gold Experience?

And how will the Time perform without Morris Day? Don't they need a vocalist? Or will they just play the music and have Jerome will run around with a mirror? My guess is the reason Morris Day won't be there is precisely because it is for charity. He makes his living getting paid to sing "Jungle Love" in venues across the country, maybe he doesn't want to give it up for free.

Let's hope this thing actually happens. People, buy some tickets now!!!

Merci for the speed of a mad clown,

Prince wouldn't show up o an event he didn't put together. You guys know how he is. He is probably insulted that the whole thing even got organized without his input. I don;t think Prince has any way of checking his ego long enough to participate in this. His ego has now taken the form of religion since Larry--he has found a way of claiming that God is on his side now no matter what he does, so he can still be the same egomaniac hw always was, but now he can claim God's blessing.
Here's another reason Prince wouldn't bother: was Larry Graham invited. Prince thinks he's the greatest human to walk the earth since Christ, why would Prince go to a show that Larry wasn't invited to play at. I'm telling you, I bet Prince is insulted by the whole thing. Now if they all said "Hey Prince, we can't do it without you; we won't do it without you, please help us." Maybe he'd do it, but since it's "we're doing a show and we'd love him to do it, but we're doing it with or without him" Prince is probably pissed off.
It'll be a great show anyway, but Prince will never show because it isn't his doing, his organizing, his concert venue and his beloved Larry hasn't been asked to perform.

That doesn't really sound like Prince at all. And what would your point of reference be for this?? No one has ever put anything together like this before. If he was so pissed he'd probably make a comment on the NPGMC site. But he hasn't in fact, he's been putting Family Jamm artists jams in the Reflection Room. So I guess we'll find out on the 13th once and for all.

i HIGHLY doubt prince is pissed off about this. sheila E organised the damn thing, and how many people still associated with prince are playing this? he might not show up, he might think it too cheesy as he doesnt want to go to the past. but its for charity, its arranged by his friend sheila E so who knows?

So how you figure it was "without his input"??? He might have even suggested this to Sheila. I can't imagine her doing this without his blessing. No way! I can't imagine Patti Labelle showing up to something like this without his blessing. Chaka either. chile please...
