The Minnesota Music Awards, a ceremony and celebration at which the MMA honors top Minnesota musicians and music industry participants for their contributions to Minnesota music during the previous year.

The MMA has presented the Minnesota Music Awards since 1986 to provide recognition for musicians who are judged by the MMA membership to have made exceptional contributions to Minnesota music and culture during the previous year, as well as to provide a forum in which to celebrate the accomplishments of all Minnesota musicians during the previous year.

The 2001 Minnesota Music Awards, as voted on by the 165-person membership of the Minnesota Music Academy, and presented at First Avenue on Monday May 14th 2001:
