New CJ report: religion and the new building Prince finds religion
Prince's Chanhassen neighbors are rather taken aback to hear he's found a new religious direction, Jehovah's Witness. I'll believe it when Symbolina's been spied door-knocking. The May issue of Gotham magazine reports that he's sworn off cursing and is preaching virtue. ''... when you use those [curse] words, you call up all the anger, all the negative times the word has been used before; you bring it toward yourself. Why would you want that?'' the singer of the song ''Sexy MF'' told the mag. Fellow residents are skeptical that Prince will clean up his sexually explicit stage ways in the upcoming St. Paul concerts. Well-known for having a short attention span, time will tell how long Prince will be a Jehovah's Witness. ... I went door to door (until I found an open one) at Paisley Park last week to ask the owner about Jehovah's Witness and this new round building under construction on the property. The worker who came to the side door snickered, ''Who's that?'' when I identified myself; I assured said worker that Prince would know. City records indicate that Paisley Park is spending $300,000, down from the projection of $400,000, on a new, 4,237-square-foot recording studio. http://www2.startribune.c...ord=prince | |
