Avatar Events Group Moonshine Backline Launches New Corporate Identity, Expanded Services & Announcement of Key Staff Hiring

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 01, 2001-- With a 10 year anniversary just around the corner, Kenny Cresswell, Johnny Colt and Chris Conner unveiled their new corporate identity, Avatar Events Group.

Effective immediately, Avatar Events group will become the umbrella to this powerhouse trio's group of business entities, which includes Moonshine Backline, RTM (Rehearse Too Much) and Sight Sound & Innovation (Backline division).

Having become the dominant force in the Southeast's backline industry, Avatar represents a new level of commitment and service that is rarely seen. This aggressive company is setting a new standard for events groups across the board. Look for more expansion over the next couple of months! Until then, Avatar has become a one-stop shop and a musician's home away from home! Avatar handles all backline, production, rehearsal, cartage and storage needs and has begun line producing as well as full event production management.

Owners, Cresswell and Colt, are both in Elektra recording group, Brand New Immortals. Managed by Q-Prime (Tony DiCioccio and Marc Reiter), Cresswell and Colt will be headed on the road in support of their first major label release available June 26. With a combined business savvy and major artist experience, both Cresswell and Colt know that without a solid team, heading out on the road would not be possible. Avatar's day to day will be handled by Joe Bruckner, General Manager, Joanie Ferguson, Director of Sales, and Robert Carroll, Director of Operations and Events. Carroll, formerly of Crossover Entertainment, is an industry veteran who recently joined the team and has already acquired new endeavors for Avatar including all NARAS events in Atlanta and On the Bricks - a Concert Series in Centennial Olympic Park.
