Prince Memorabilia auction

Hi, I'm not really sure if this is "news" or not. I posted on the main discussion forum, but you may want to use it as a news item. I have no connection to this auction except that I bid on it, but was outbid pretty quickly: http://apps.heritagecomic...ot_No=3538

Prince - Memorabilia Collection. Certainly the most extensive array of Prince artifacts ever to come together at public auction, all of these items were acquired by a member of Prince's inner circle. The majority of these items were obtained from band members and/or former Prince employees, and include an original signed management agreement (signed "Prince Rogers Nelson," Prince's legal name), framed in an oversized display. Also included is an orignal black-and-white photo autographed by the elusive artist in black marker, as well as an original handwritten song lyric/poem, housed in a museum-quality frame, with an unusual history. Prince made a guest appearance on "The Muppet Show" a number of years ago and, during one of his sketches, actually wrote this very manuscript on camera. It was later acquired directly from the Muppets Production Company. Additionally, this diverse collection includes an original "Staff Only" crew jacket and pants, as well as original tour itineraries, lyric lists, backstage passes, and a variety of other rare Prince collectibles. This is a unique opportunity to acquire original artifacts from one of the world's most elusive and guarded entertainers. Cataloged and guaranteed by Startifacts. Est. 2,000-up.

Just a little 'bare', the info.

WHAT poem. Where's the pic?

It looks like silly things to pay loads of money for.

Looks like a blue marker to me, and that is so NOT is signature! For one thing, this is a photo of prince not Prince (circa. 1994/95) smile

If I remember correctly the Muppet show "poem" was prince writing something like "I'm supposed to be writing a fake song" over and over...The lyrics sheet I believe was something from the Gold Exp album...Maybe Endorphine Machine or Interactive. It was left behind in his Beverly Hills crib when he sold it and left LA 4 good...Some of these items have been up 4 auction on Southeby's in the past...Not really worth it and the autograph is def. questionable 4 that time period...

McGee

The lyric sheet contains the words to "Shockadelica" from what I can tell. Still laughable though.

Remember that APB for all prince items from the Columbia days, some sad sucker sent all his ebay findings and prince imitations to the leach. Now the leach is turning that crap into cash!
