Kylie Minogue covers Prince on new album According to today's edition of The Sun, UK newspaper, Kylie's new album, Body Language out November 17 in the UK, has covers of I Feel 4 U and Still Standing. (I myself don't recognise Still Standing).
These 2 tracks do appear on the album tracklist at hmv.co.uk . I've tried to download the tracks, although thru Kazaa they show as their respective titles, it is in fact her debut single 'Slow' which actually downloads. Anyway we'll see how she has covered these songs in a couple of weeks. Sean

According to the review in Q it's not a Prince cover:
"Excuberant house track I Feel For You, for instance, is the best record Basement Jaxx never made." I think they would have mentioned it had it been a P cover! And from another review: I Feel For You: Thunder and rainstorm intro, funky guitar into a bouncy chorus with sample cut-ups. A love song. “I feel for you/I can go on and on and on.'' Clearly not a cover of P's song. Stupid Sun.

I read the Sun article and read it as if the tracks were Prince sounding, rather than Prince covers.
The article talks about how the album has an 80's feel and said was that the tracks I feel for you and still standing were Prince when he was good. RIP

KYLIE TALKING MY LANGUAGE.
Forget the love life and her bum, Kylie Minogue's new album is finally ready - and I've got my hands on the first copy off the presses. Body language, has seemed like ages coming and I'll bet you're all dying to know if it's much cop. Forget 'Fever Part II', this is no straightforward pop affair. Set squarley in the Eighties, Kylie's ninth studio album is her freshest. It's all about heavy synth, heavy breathing, electro disco and how very conifdent her music is - very. But the influences are not hard to find. The tracks Still Standing and I Feel For You are Prince when he was good. The Ms Dynamite co-penned number Secret (Take You Home) samples Lisa Lisa's 1985 hit I Wonder If I Take You Home. And Eminem-style production even gets a look-in on Red Blooded Woman, which will hopefully be a single. Elsewhere on the CD, Chocolate and Sweet Music* are touching, catchy ballads. Critisims? AT times Kylie's high-pitched twang risks sounding like Milo (or is it Jake?) from The Tweenies. But she somehow gets away with it. Body Language may not be full of hit singles like Fever was, but it's still one of the most accomplished disco albums ever. - Victoria Newton's 'Bizarre' (The Sun, Monday Nov 3rd 2003) *God knows why she described 'Sweet Music' as a ballad though - it's not, it's a great up-tempo track which I LOVE! BODY LANGUAGE IS OUT ON NOVEMBER 17th. www.kyliekat.btinternet.c...slowvid.rm

Kazaa??
What's the matter - don't feel you should have to pay for music? Do you have a job? Get a paycheck? Feel entitled to it? I thought so.

Prince & Kylie Trivia...
Some years ago on a talk show in Australia (Denton on 7 network) I remember Kylie being interviewed & speaking about Prince. She had been to the World Music Awards in Monaco & said something about slow dancing with him to the most beautiful girl in the world. (Mayte was there that year so go figure - anyway...) She also said that she played ping pong with him, to which Denton said said "I didn't know Prince played ping pong, was he good ?" She replied of course, she didn't think he'd do anything he wasn't good at! Well I said it was trivia - I didn't say it was N.E.W.S !

Yeah - she has known him since the early ninties - He even invited her 2 MPLS 4 a few days 2 offer her a track etc, (where she played ping pong and snooker with Him at his house) and I used 2 see her at a lot of the aftershows in the nineties...
