Indie-Funk band does "Let's Work" The Indie-Funk band Sugar do a spin on "Let's Work" and a few other Parliment songs on the medley "Jam Session Pt. IV" from their latest CD Framboise. You can listen here:
http://store.mixonic.com/palisadehills I don't have too much background on them other then the fact that they are a very much (1980's) Prince influence band and they have some kind of connection with Junie Morrison (Ohio Players, George Clinton). Peace, PlushFunk

Plush,
Glad someone else knows about Junie Morrison. That guy is one of the most influential yet unappreciated figures in funk. His riffs and voice have been sampled countless times in hip-hop. For those that don't know, start with Exstacy (Ohio Players), and then work your way to his Westbound Solo albums, then you'll hit the P-Funk years. If you haven't already, be sure to check out Junie's tracks on George CLinton's Family Series as well as some amazing tracks on Bernie Worrell's "All the Woo in the World". I'd bet serious money that Prince is a BIG Junie fan...

Junie is the man! Have you ever heard "Super Spirit"? That song had to influence Prince. As far as the cover goes, pretty funky as well! It was pretty cheap so I ordered one today.
