PRINCE NOW A DEVOUT JEHOVAHS WITNESS ?

The web-site watchtower.observer.org has reported on a news story regarding Prince airing on a programme called 'Extra' in the U.S.A. According to the article Prince has now become a devout Jehovahs Witness and that we should expect a change as he is 'marrying both his religion and music'.
According to the article, Prince's conversion has come about after lengthy bible studies with Larry Graham.

The article appears on the main page under the headline ' American Rock Star Prince A Devout Jehovahs Witness !'

The watchtower observer is a site dedicated to news and information regarding Jehovhas Witnesses. The information displayed is both positive and negative, although the site is mainly critical of the faith.

Complete story (Copyright (C) 2000 kent steinhaug):
African American rock star Prince a devote Jehovah's Witness!

Prince - Now a Jehovah's Witness!

It was anounced on "EXTRA" (USA) and they said we would soon see a change in his music because he was "marrying his music to his religion." They said he is now a very devout Jehovah's Witness.

African American rock star Prince came into this world as Prince Roger Nelson; he was named for the Prince Roger Trio, a musical aggregation for which his father played. In light of his carefully cultivated public image -- the arrogant aloofness, the covey of bodyguards, the overemphasized androgyny -- it is sometimes easy to forget that Prince is uncommonly talented; in addition to his singing and composing skills, he is proficient at two dozen musical instruments.

Now the controversial artist has become a Jehovah's Witness as well, and he's been at that for a while, "studying" with none other than Larry Graham (Sly & The Family Stone)

We haven't heard that he is actually baptized by now, or even publishing that he will be in the near future.

Time will tell....
